Immune support by botanical or natural supplement plays vital roles against microbial infections and
abnormal functioning of cells and organs in the body system. It has been established that the complex, integrated immune system needs multiple specific micro nutrients which play vital, often synergistic
roles in every stage of the immune response. This study evaluated the effects of plant supplements on
blood indices and neutrophil adhesion potential in broiler chicks. Extracts from Azadirachta indica
(Neem), Curcuma longa (turmeric), and Allium sativum (garlic) were combined with vitamin C and
administered to 3-week-old broiler chicks. After 11 days, blood samples were analyzed, revealing non- significant increases in lymphocytes and neutrophils, with the highest values observed in the Baphia
nitida leaf extract (BN) group (62.14% lymphocytes and 35.56% neutrophils) compared to the control
group (56.80% lymphocytes and 30.50% neutrophils). Notably, the plant supplements significantly
enhanced neutrophil adhesion potential, with BN recording the highest value (26.32%) compared to the
control group (14.93%). The results suggest that these plant supplements, particularly BN, may have
immunomodulatory effects in broiler chicks, enhancing neutrophil adhesion and lymphocyte counts.
